A local dealer had an SZ a few years back for around $15,000. By the time I got down there it was already sold of course. I didn’t actually love the styling so much as the oddball appeal, but wherever the car ended up I have never seen it around town again so I figure it either shipped out to some far away collector

Not surprised at all. Great writeup tho, not much written in English on these funky little rides.

I totally can’t believe I am posting a review to a “deals” post, but I agree that the Griddler is the best kitchen device we have. It opens up flat so you can use the flat griddle plates for pancakes and eggs at the same time, make bacon it it folded up again like a panini press, which we also make often, but the best

You’re wrong, it’s been all over the news all weekend! Haven’t you seen the surveillance footage yet of the two spies who were in San Francisco seeking information about some of our most sensitive facilities?

I don’t think I even have an “inner five-year-old,” mine is clearly worn on the outside as I tend to go shamelessly apeshit anytime I see a cool car in public.

Nothing seems to imply this is the actual car used for filming, and likely isn’t given the condition of most movie cars. Seems by the link at the bottom of the Turo page that this is a co-sponsored HBO/Turo deal?

“...I always assumed these massive Lego sturctures were pure, uncut Lego. “

OMG I love this. Yes, I want this future.

+1 on being a farm tech nerd. A few years ago I was back home in Indiana visiting family and my father took me to his old buddy’s house as he was having some local Amish men build out a new barn for him. They worked quietly and studiously for hours until break time came, but then they really opened up and got chatty.

Oh man this brings back memories. In High School my sister drove a 1984 Porsche 944 in Alpine White and at the end of the day in our school’s parking lot after the busses had all left, she would line it up, cock the car slightly to one side to account for the torque steer, and perpetrate some launches (not so much

You will never hear me utter the words, “I bought this because somebody on Instagram told me to.”

I have no patience for adults who humiliate children, there are so many other ways this could have been handled. At this age, this young girl is extremely susceptible to the mental anguish this teacher put her through and could affect her in untold ways for a lifetime, but thankfully in this instance it has gone

“Maybe movie theaters will get serious about fairly inexpensive security measures... if there is a drop in attendance and ticket sales.”

Just watched this again last week and that is my favorite part of the film, I even called everyone into the room to watch it when it came on.

I’ve made several long-distance moves over the years and here’s the options I’ve found to be the easiest and cheapest methods if you also need to transport a single vehicle in addition to your stuff. We use “Relocubes” from ABF trucking (I am not affiliated in any way) which are like PODS but more reliable and

“knock on the faux wood veneer on the dash”

Didn’t you see the Mythbusters episode where they proved a non-smooth surface was better for a car’s aerodynamics? Golf ball dimples = bird shit according to my calculations.

Super into the window shots, very cool and original. Well done man!

That little mystery button is the “you can sit on the tailgate to tie your shoes” indicator. It does’t actually move or really do anything other than remind you that, yes, you can sit on the tailgate to tie your shoes. It even has a handy sight-line to show you where to look. More cars should have this.

There’s some nice Ghia lines in that nose work, I’m OK with this one.
