I’ve never understood the “glass-breakers” you can break the side glass of an auto with almost anything. It's just a matter of hitting it in the right spot. FWIW, 20-year paramedic

Seems like everyone’s version of EDC is a little different. Some seems to focus on defense, others everyday utility and want both and the ability to build a lean-to in the rain-forest.
This is my EDC as well. I have it in the drop tip. The dual thumb studs and assisted opening are great and it holds an edge well.
Not my EDC, but I own one of these and they are a huge bang for the buck.
I had a girl who got mad at me for not checking my phone. She figured I must be hiding something if I wouldn't check my phone around her. Ya can't win I tell ya!
If you want to poop. Really poop. Allow me to present my Nuclear Option.
FYI: I was looking at the crossbow pistol, but if you sort the reviews by newest they're all 1-star. Might want to avoid that one at any price.
The delete function is my main complaint about the new inbox as well. I also notice that sometimes I get a gmail notification, sometimes it's inbox and sometimes it's both. (On the phone).
Great post! I would have loved to see something about adopting the homeless ones over pet stores and such. There are a lot of greyhounds out there that need a home. I got one 6 months ago and, holy crap! Best. Dog. Ever!
Sorry, but no. Most urgent care centers are set up for sprains, cuts and colds. and a cardiac rule-out is beyond the scope of the majority of them. Even if they can do one, if you're positive for a heart attack then they're going to call and ambulance and have you taken to a center than can perform the appropriate…
Yeah it'd be nice if someone could develop a finger stick troponin test for home. The technology is there.
You're correct. The problem was that women's symptoms weren't included in the original studies. That led to the promotion of the classic chest pain / left arm pain scenario that is seen only in a portion of heart issues. Eventually some genius finally came to the conclusion that women have heart attacks too—imagine…
Chest pain with exertion that stops with rest is angina and not a heart attack. It can be a warning sign that your coronary circulation might be impaired or heading that way.
Do the prices tend to vary depending on the type of course? I just looked up books for two upcoming classes for my BS in Nursing and Amazon was the cheapest each time. (Before considering buy-back)
I generally use MS Word and have pretty good luck. I tried citing a couple of books and a report in Google Docs' APA format and it didn't look even remotely correct. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's Just using an older version.
As an American, I always make sure I learn how to say "Don't shoot, I'm Canadian!" in the native tongue.
Sorry, but I use them regularly and LED lit towers are an issue acknowledged by the FAA. Dim lights may be visible in unlit areas but try picking them out in a city. Pure bunk? Do some research.
I agree with weighing how hard it is to attain vs how hard it is to retain. It seems foolish to put in a lot of effort only to let it lapse because of fairly minimal recert requirements—unless you're absolutely not going to use it...ever.
I don't have a source but I can tell you from experience that there are towers with red and white LED lighting systems that are all but invisible when using NVGs. My understanding was that LED put out in the blue frequencies regardless of color but I can't swear to that.
I don't have a source at hand, but the NVGs filter out some light in the blue range and apparently LEDs emit in that frequency range, regardless of the color. If you shine a regular LED flashlight at someone wearing the NVGs you'll see a very dim light area. If you were in the wilderness with no other lights around…
