Congrats on your self-restraint. I haven’t mastered that skill yet when it comes to the staff:/
I am here to tell you that one of the worst things that can happen to your vehicle is for a rodent to die somewhere in the heater/ventilation system. If this happens, unless you are good at taking the whole thing apart and finding the carcass, your choice will be between driving around with the windows down and the…
Nope, the post above was immediately accepted too.
Interesting: my post was immediately accepted, instead of being put in waiting-for-review purgatory like my i09 post last month. Is that because in the post above I didn’t call anyone on the staff a fucking millennial?
NPR had at least a couple —if not a series— of articles about ticks and the recurring theme in the ones I heard was that researchers find multitudes of ticks in a mouse’s ears.
Hmmm, I learned something new today. I never knew there was a national organization dedicated to pest management, not to mention they have an official acronym, NPMA. Who knew?
We had an older cat who was a terrible hunter, but apparently his very presence kept the mice at bay because the first winter after he was gone we started seeing evidence of rodents in the basement. Thankfully one of the two furballs we got from the shelter to replace him turned out to be quite a keen hunter and we…
PSA for those with young kids who park their cars outside (or even in a garage):
When will we have a solution for stink bugs? They seem impervious to most chemicals!
True. But that didn’t stop the truck much, did it? Maybe the moral of the story is admit there are some dangerous people out there and to not fuck with strangers.
It is absolutely a violation in the State I call home. Too bad being an asshole isn’t a violation as well.
Yes, it is. In the vast majority of states, that left lane is a designated passing late, and dawdling there is a violation of the law. So is impeding traffic. The Nissan driver deserves to have the book thrown at him.
“brake checked the ram”
Unfortunately, you are correct. This should be enforced much heavier than speeding.
actually in most states being in the left hand lane and not passing is a moving violation. granted, it doesnt warrent what the truck did, but lets not all think the car that crashed did absolutely nothing wrong. he obv was being a dick since these guys started filming it and the first line is “man, he’s just not gonna…
It’s absolutely a moving violation every state! Impeding the flow of traffic, failure to yield the passing lane... and intentionally inciting road rage or participating in road rage (clearly the case here) would constitute careless driving, reckless driving, etc... different names for it in different states. He is…
“Still. I don’t care if the Nissan spent 20 miles riding side by side with the car in front of it, brake checked the ram, or was otherwise a nuisance. Pickup driver deserves an attempted murder charge.”
Yep...clearly trying to absolve the guy of wrongdoing...
And yes, still a strawman...
It’s a moving violation in Illinois - has been for years. Unless gridlock, weather, or construction prohibit doing so, riding in the left lane and not moving over is a ticket-worthy offense. I am simply providing this as a statement of fact. (I understand that they’re in OK ...just throwing in my unsolicited two…
driving slow in the passing lane on a two lane road is a violation in most states though. Some states actually go further and say you can’t stay in the left lane after passing, otherwise it’s a violation.
