The sanctions were put into place after Russia invade Crimea in response to the Ukrainian citizens deposing their former president, Victor Yanukovich. Worried that they would lose their access to the Black Sea at Sevastopol, Russia, through the guise of independent militiamen with miraculous access to military

Ok, so what do you suggest we do? Allow China to continue its expansion into the S. China Sea, build up military bases on these islands, asert it’s dominance in the area completely, control trade, and then let them fuck us for the next 100 years because we want everyone to play nice?

Democratically elected??? There was a coup d’etat in Ukraine! Yanokocivch was the democratically elected leader, but because he was close to Putin, he was tossed out. There are no clean hands here.

Here come the armchair generals.

I sure hope not. It will put the stability of American institutions to the test, and we’ll see if a single person can carry out a personal vendetta like that (some people accused GWB of that, but it was definitely a concerted effort by the establishment). My contention is that this is what Terrell’s commentary on this

What are you talking about? It’s not about the sand bar. This is just the new brand of neoliberal opposition war-mongering.

I don’t know the word “nasty” lead to a bunch of childish blow ups as well.

Dude, it was like the 47% comment that sunk Romney but sounded worse. These places that went from Dem to Repub all have crazy heroin problems. Dark days indeed. Pouring salt on wounds does not help.

Oh shut the fuck up already with this shit.

I wouldn’t say they’re being special snowflakes about it. Rather, they seem to embrace the terms and double down on their *-isms, pushing them to further extremes. That’s not helping your platform at all.

I hate how political Gizmodo has become. It’s like huffpo-lite here now.

> deplorables

Why would I want my friend to have one? It would be pointless if you cant rub it in his face.

I'll disagree on one major point. No one has solved the engineering yet. These bullshit plane/car hybrid things people keep attempting aren't what anyone wants. There's a big difference between a car with wings and the "flying" hover car everyone really wants.

It's not really any worse than a car as far as power/energy to weight with a basic airplane.

Not true. There are many highly efficient plane designs out there that fly at 150-200 mph on 4-6 gph. For those of you not great at math, that is up to between 30-50 MPG. On top of that, a plane can fly straight to your destination. Particularly important when the route is through mountains. Where you can go miles out

What if you live on a big farm with a landing strip and want to go to your friends farm to sleep with his wife and its 20k from a landing strip. Would a flying car not be ideal?

I thought you had the day off?

Dang Jason, I would've expected better from you.
