Can we call any of the Cobra-based cars American? They're AC Cobra bodies (British) with American motors and modified suspension. Much like the GT40 isn't all-American.

The GT40 technically is British as is the Shelby Cobra. Only the MkIV gen GT40 was built in the US, otherwise the overall car was designed and built in the UK. Both cars are American Engined, but not our designs.
