Melanie Griffiths looks like Katherine Helmond in Gilliam's Brazil. It goes with the sic-fi altered human trope I guess in Automata but she's not looking very...natural anymore. Too bad the Automata is cliched I was looking forward to seeing it

If you haven't already seen Another Earth, this is your warning: SPOILERS AHEAD.

The Thing, such a messed up movie. The animatronics still hold up after all this time as well, even though we can see the effects, they remain terrifying.

Love the Last Unicorn.

Wrath of Khan was good because we sympathize with the antagonist. Makes it complex.

This entire film is incredibly arresting. Michael Caine, Clive Owen, the entire cast = phenomenal. THIS is the film Alfonso Cuaron should have got the Oscar for. Whatever Oscar's he got on subsequent films were out of guilt for not giving it to him for this one. Stellar.

The Moment: Tommy, losing it. Realizing mistakes he made and his overwhelming powerlessness in this dystopia.

Yes some of the effects "may" be somewhat dated at this point but they hold up incredibly well nevertheless, the shots of Vermithrax in the cave are still terrifying. This was an excellent film.

I don't necessarily agree with that GRRM made a "let's kill them off trope" with the be-hdeading of Ned Stark. He's created an epic sprawling world & tale and everything's not that straightforward. Yes Ned Stark died and set off the whole narrative, but his heir Robb Stark also died at the Red Wedding....who's gonna

I love the Iron Giant. "Rock," "Tree"

Yeah definitely an epic scene, Ian McKellen's delivery is unparalleled.

Oh goddess - Yes, this ^ scene, this whole film. That's it.

I NEED those pedicured toe shoes.
