Superbike or not, the V-Tech in the VFR didn’t vary anything other than switching from 2 valves to 4 at a specific rpm. Real VVT changes timing and overlap.

They’ve partnered with a number of different auto manufacturers in the past for engine tech, like Toyota, Nissan (Hakosuka) and International (Scout diesels!). I’m sure they could find somewhere to sell these outside of moto dealers.

I believe it’s the screws themselves that add the tension. As you press it to the side it wants to pull back straight but because the screws tighten as it goes in that direction it prevents the wheel from turning/loosening.

I could never get my SD to fuel smoothly enough. I worked at it a while custom dyno tunes and everything. It got better but still had surging issues with neutral throttle. That said, it was a great motor and an even better chassis. Had some of my best track days on the SD.

Yes. But I bet you could try it on the 600RR and most of the parts would still fit.
