Wow, this is a big departure. He was the heart and soul of the studio, to be sure.
I'm fine with the concept of expansion packs. But I did the math, and according to Ubi, each part will be roughly $8, evening out at around $25 for the whole piece. Doesn't that seem a bit...pricy to anybody?
Oh, I hate modern Squeenix as much as the next guy, actually. SquareSOFT was my fanboy focus while it was still around.
And what did any of that shit have to say? What was its point? Nothing, but to be "2deep4u". Don't have an easter hunt without anything in the basket.
The problem with Fez is that it tried to allude to something deeper beneath the surface, but ultimately failed to deliver any substance. If you're going to be a game without anything to say, don't lead up to it.
God, this thing reeks of hipster.
And why do you think that gamers are reacting so harshly to these things?
I think a lot of the reaction has to do with timing and current sentiments in the industry, both from consumers and developers/publishers.
Ew, this looks awful. Takes all the charm out of the original Karateka...
Ugly special editions of an ugly redesign, created with ugly intentions.
By "slider" in this case, we meant the picture slide bar. But a slider can also refer to a miniature hamburger, yes.
Feels like I'm wearin'...nothin' at all!
Items like this just prove how big the ergonomics issue with mobile gaming is. If you take this route, you're essentially gimping the device's big strength, which is portability. If you embrace that portability, however, you're back to square one, being stuck with touch as the only means of input.
This slider has to be the greatest innovation in snacking since putting things on a stick. Keep on the forefront of technology, Kotaku. I salute you.
Oh god, dem Oreo wafers. They sold them in the US for a really brief time. Those were good days.
Yes, the Wallace and Gromit penguin. I haven't seen those shorts in years
Am I the only one who thinks "Hollywood" and "gaming" in the same sentence is never a good thing?
My prediction remains the same: Ouya will be a niche console for "arthouse" indie gamers, and will be a mild commercial success, but not nearly the size of one that can be compared to the other console makers.
The problem is that most of these games are ports. Still gives people no reason to own a Vita.
