Way to be bold, Ubi. A sure step in the right direction. I may even forgive your loudmouthed ACIII creative director for his xenophobic comments over this.

At least they're not SKINLESS horse heads. Thank you, Nexialist from worlds.com...

...it's already been confirmed by numerous magazines and sites that this is Big Boss, not Solid Snake, which explains the Militaires Sans Frontières patch...

Another awesome thing from the 90's is destroyed, with nothing to replace it...

The worst part is, you may not even be that far off...

$300? Isn't that a bit...extravagant for a press gift...?

YESSS. Stuff like this was all the rage in the 90's and then kind of died out, which is a damn shame. The more exploration we have with how we physically deliver games, the better. Shit is wicked cool.

Is that a Miracle Piano Teaching System I see?

God, when the intro was playing with few changes, RIGHT in the nostalgia. Batman TAS is probably the best Western cartoon TV series in history.

Too bad the graphics are horrid. I HATE VECTORSSSSSS

Oh god, the vector "HD art" is HIDEOUS! Get it awayyyy ;A;

It staggers me how out of touch the people actually running the industry are. No, these aren't analysts like Patcher the Clown. These are real businessmen running real companies, and while they're acknowledging current industry trends, they're failing at the important part - identifying what's causing them.

This is really a smaller bit of an overarching issue in single player game design: character vs. avatar.

Damn straight I do. It may have been Robotech and not Macross (which bugs the mecha afficionados) but it was an awesome game.

Honestly, I consider this a big improvement over the previous system. All the features of the old comment system while making the page more compact. Not bad, Gawker.

I think the true answer here is that a game should be as long as it ought to be. For example, I've played plenty of 50-hour JRPGs that could have been 2o hours without all the filler. I much rather would have had the latter - even though it would have taken less time to beat, of course, that time would have felt more

So, an RPG that looks like it was made in RPG maker for $30?

Remember, children, there's no such thing as "bad minimalism"! It doesnt mean that designers are lazy, it means they're trying to be compact and efficient!

As data caps shrink the glass ceiling more and more, things are going to come to a head. Digital distribution is part of the future, but the whole future it ain't.

Even multiplied by $20, the bare minimum, that's still a $60 million game...
