Damn right, they better. Time the consumer won a battle for a change.

Good! Thank god. It was unclear, it looked like a zombie game from the trailer.
Am I the only one sick of zombies? Like, thoroughly sick? I've had enough of them for a decade...
Sequels?
She is the protege of Coyote Smith.
And, of course, what about when the servers inevitably go down?
Man, delays have been flying around like leaves in a hurricane. First Bioshock Infinite, then Devil's Third, now this? I guess this really is a record low year in video games. Publishers need to get back to their true audience, so I suppose slowing down the dev process to be easier on studios may be a good thing.
Exactly. Max Payne's narrative was never enough to hold its own in a serious setting, and so the games took themselves JUST lightly enough to be fun, bordering on self-parody.
My biggest problem with Max Payne 3 is that the series has always been about noir. Cheesy, cliched, lovable, raw noir. Max Payne 3 isn't noir, no matter how you slice it. That was always the series' biggest strength, and now it's gone.
Play Nier.
I think that while not all Japanese games need multiplayer (like most JRPGs, for example), those like Vanquish that would easily be adapted to multiplayer might benefit from a multiplayer mode.
SOMETHING SOMETHING, DEATH AND TAXES, CONFUCIUS.
All of these people embracing gaming as a service is akin to people running into a burning building, cheering with open arms.
I couldn't have said it better myself. This industry operates in fad waves. It's a stupid thing to do, but that's how it works. Social is just the big fad right now.
"The industry as a whole is realizing that all games, whether they be on console, PC or handheld, need to be social to survive".
Macs. Video games are media (although the current industry model certainly wants to make them stay toys).
Well, they ARE essentially overpriced toys...
I would get it, but the trailer shows off its utter lack of character...
Is that some steampunk European design I see?!?!?
