on further reflection after filming this, I realized the guy had the stock tires on the car, Michelin Primacy (also stock on Prius and FRS), and that was by far the limiting factor here. All the other stuff won't work right if you don't add grip. I'd think he's a good set of tires away from really getting this thing…
