Would I buy a new H-D? Probably not. They’re model line-up just isn’t that interesting to me. I like the sound of a V-twin but I’d pick up a Monster or a SV1000 or a parallel twin Triumph before a H-D. I just don’t think I want to be associated with that H-D brand image.

There’s a red LM002 running around Council Bluffs, Iowa. I’ve even seen it covered in dirt. I’m very curious to meet the owner of the LM002 who actually drives it off road.

I’m 6'5" and have owned a few vehicles that you might be interested in for a fun car.

I don’t really like corvettes. They make wonderful sense on paper but they just don’t stir my soul at all.

I could never say that a car saved any of my relationships. I’ve had vehicles that ended relationships and vehicles that have ignited relationships.... but saving one? Never.

    Back in college….

I was about to post about the 818C being a modern Fiero based on the qualifications of being a cheap mid-engine sports car.

    2007+ Mini Cooper S.

I’m pretty sure that’s RPM, or MAM as it was called back then. So yes, the one right next to Glenwood/Pacific Junction.

Nice! A video from my local track, RPM (or MAM when this video was made). I’ve been off at that corner too. Much less spectacularly though, I kept it in control.

I agree. However unintended the spectacular frame failure was, in this instance it likely attributed to these two specific individuals surviving this accident.

I’m going to have to agree. East to West on I70 through Kansas is brutal. East to West on I80 through Nebraska is just as miserable. You just hold one side of the steering wheel the whole time because without a doubt there will be a 20 mph crosswind the entire trip and NOTHING to look as far as scenery goes.

oh right. I didn’t even think of that.

I never used to notice all of the crap in the road or give too much care to it until I started riding motorcycles.

My thoughts exactly. What a hassle just to be right.

That thing does look fantastic. Too bad that didn’t get made.

It’s nice to hear you say that power isn’t all and that a well balanced car is probably more fun to drive. I agree on this point. I feel like that is part of the porsche magic (so I’ve heard). It’s not just a crushing end all of cars but rather a car that takes a bit of finesse and skill to bring out all of the car’s

hahaha.. Oh man. I forgot about that video.

I only use 3 jack stands. The 4th one is in place but my garage floor is not flat enough for it to make contact haha. Old house problems.

Now that is a failure method that I haven’t considered before. That’s pretty frightening.
