It is roughly $10,- cheaper than the 500GB model and significantly cheaper if you wish for 1TB (or 2TB) of storage (even if we assume the 250GB or 500GB to be used as external, which is not a comparable situation).

Funny, I'd cite the shortness and recycling factor (More so then previous Tales titles) as shortcomings. Wouldn't call it that great of a Tales game, to be honest. Felt pretty unfinished all around. Its not bad, but not the most notable and robust entry in the series.
