Not sure if this is OT but I liked it and it does involve an actress:

It must have sounded okay on paper.

The Korean War ended in 1953. Fond though I am of old soldiers,* you can reasonably assume that this guy has been pulling this particular argument out of his ass for the last six decades, for anything he's found objectionable. Sooo much easier than couching your opinion in all that "logic" and "facts" the kids seem

Of course—just as they mobilized to address America's rather disgraceful infant mortality rate.

Okay, there's this—and it's hardly the only instance of women being sterilized against their wills. (Ex: Senator Coburn, R of Oklahoma and MD, was sued for coercing a young black woman into having a ligation during a delivery.)

She moved out three weeks ago, and—just guessing, of course—likely saw her solicitor right after that. So she probably didn't learn about her divorce from the Mail.

"This bill improves a woman's ability to make an informed choice that will protect her physical and mental health now and in the future."

This machine was apparently designed to be Seattle-specific. However, if it works okay, could it be dismantled after this project and sold or leased to other places that want tunnels?

What's particularly disgusting is the anti-choice a-hole who hits on you when he knows you don't agree with him.

The Jesus thing is a problem, partly in what it suggests about his general thought processes, but particularly because there's no bigger waste of time than going to bed with a man who thinks sex is dirtier than you think it is.

"While I don’t care much for identity politics . . .

Fair point.

As long as you're mentioning this: If any married man were to tell you what he and the missus like to do in bed, you would be justifiably disgusted.

Ronald Reagan — who took the oath of office when he was 70-years-old and whose later presidential years were surrounded by rumors of dementia . . .

Even if you were to take this seriously, it overlooks a feature of human dimorphism: women, generally speaking, hold up better as they age than men do. So in comparing Hilary on the basis of age to the men she might run against, you might reasonably spot her a few years.

We have a huge body of laws and policies intended to enforce the "sex is for repro only" idea—but when you consider how few people actually believe that (and how few of the ones who do are what you'd call sane), it's amazing that they're still around.

"My view is that homosexual acts — not homosexuality, but homosexual acts — are wrong. They're intrinsically wrong. And I think in a natural law-based country, it's appropriate to have policies that reflect that … They don't comport with natural law."

IANAL—but possibly those who are have some idea how to get this cretin impeached?

I don't believe in ghosts for a lot of reasons; the fact that Justice Marshall hasn't terrorized Thomas into an early grave is one of them.

Not that anyone asked, but Professor Hill's abuse in that hearing led me to notice a pattern, from which I have formulated a personal rule-of-thumb, to wit:
