No administration is beyond reproach, obviously, and this one (as Honeymouse points out) has plenty of things wrong with it.

As the article says—all you need to know about these jerks.

Well, so what?

Exactly what would be involved for Delhi law enforcement to track down the men involved and see them charged with rape and (since Indian men don't seem to take rape very seriously) assault and/or manslaughter (depending on how she does [1])? What would their successful prosecution involve?

Because it cracks me up.

Happy Christmas anyway, and may you knock 'em dead in February.

I am genuinely sorry for every unfortunate thing that has been mentioned in this thread, and I wish everyone here the best possible resolution.

Oh, sweetie. Those are my Christmas plans as well, and for the same reason—my family is somewhere else.

Buildings that combine these with larger apartments might be great accommodations for family members who want their privacy but also want to keep close, e.g., an elderly parent.

I don't think this works in court, but my own rule of thumb is that in a he-said/she-said type argument, if the man starts impugning the woman's sanity [1], he's probably lying through his teeth.

The way the WSJ page lays out in my browser initially has a great many posts addressed to the "brave girl" or brave woman"—but I didn't appreciate quite how brave she was until I read the nasty posts.
