@AlmightyRenegade: I live in and work (for a company that occupied 8 of the top floors at 2 world trade center) in NYC and I'd have to agree with appletoad. I'd rather have my taxes pay for another CIA agent or soilder hunting down the terrorist than for body scanners that are completely ineffectual.
You're all terrorist lovers! If you are not for naked body scans and government molestation of children then you are supporting terrorists.
@TonyRockyHorror: I 2nd that.
@superdemon: So why Iraq? The Congo has had many many many more people die, women raped, babaies thrown into fires, children made to eat their parents flesh.
@eslhelp: the only "REAL" statistic is that 80% of all statistics are made up.

@RandomAcronym: Dennis has it in his Land Rover all the time. So no, you are not the only one.

I'll grant that the plane crash looks pretty bad, but if you consider the crashes where most people die there aren't any pieces of plane left that are bigger than a suitcase. This seems to be, for the most part, in 3 big pieces. Meaning that anyone not in path of one of those tears would have been pretty safe.
