Why not. Especially since many of the trans women trying to get in womens bathrooms looks just like that female to male trans porn star with just a wig and dress on.

Intersex people are intersex. One could conclude only intersex people can choose which bathroom they want to use. But trans people who are not intersex should use the bathrooms related to their sex— not their gender identity.

Trans women and men should use the mens bathrooms, and leave womens bathrooms for biological females.

I am glad South Dakota is fighting for female rights, rather than pushing the misogyny of transgenderism which normalizes sex stereotypes.

Seeing a naked person at your home, a beach, or pool is quite different than females being forced to change and shower among males. No one cares if a female sees a penis. But it is sexual harassment and assault for males to be in female only spaces. I think it is sad that Europeans don’t understand this.

You honestly don’t know the difference in being on a nude beach or pool and having to change in an enclosed space where people expect privacy from the opposite sex?? Women and girls have the right to privacy from males in bathrooms, showers, and shelters. If people want co-ed change rooms they are free to create them.

What difference does it make. Most women don’t want to be partially nude in front of people born male. Especially since many trans women that can’t pass look identical to non trans men.

Other cultures are not effected by this South Dakota policy. South Dakotans and Americans have the right to follow their culture.

NO, I have come across more than two non-Americans that have done this. I just didn't bother to give more examples. Do you have a point??

Typical you would use anti-US stereotypes while still taking personal insult that people outside the US are not relevant to a discussion about the formation of the feminist movement within the USA.

That is BS. A person discussing the French revolution or Indian independence from the UK is not inserting countries that are not a factor.

Context matters. Gloria is an american talking to an american audience about US feminism. In addition Jezebel is a US site if you have not noticed. I think it is cute that many non-Americans go on explicitly US websites and complain that it is US focused. I had a same discussion with a Greek person that was upset that

Just because straight women have straight privilege doesn't mean that gay men don't have male privilege. And it doesn't mean that gay men can/should get away with misogynistic statements and behavior. Especially since not all women are straight to begin with. What is your interpretation of lesbian bashing within some

They should have had a wedding registry if they wanted specific items. I do think it is tacky to give a gift basket though. There are cheap wedding items that are classy like a champaign flute or a picture frame.

I agree. This study is sexist and one sided. It takes the agency away from young women.

The article is correct. While there is a lot of black male-white female porn, the women that do it are considered "damaged goods" and are not allowed to go back to doing porn with white men. That is the racist element. most of the top white porn stars DON'T do porn with black men- it is the lesser popular white female

There is nothing daring about showing an interracial pairing in 2013- especially when it is a white man and a non-white women. People only get uncomfortable when it is a white women with black or other non-white man.

I agree. But don't blame black people. If Asians and other non-white racial groups were to complain more to the media in the way black people do—- the white media would be forced to comment on it.

Your comment is offensive. Most slaves weren't passive. That is what slave masters and racist whites WANTED blacks to act. And just because a person was a slave, didn't mean they had a low self esteem. Please read some slave narratives/journals to get the truth.

You are ugly too.
