Oh, it's you again. Well I've got words for you: deal with it.

No. Media services are not locked behind a paywall on PS4. MP online is.

Man, your fanboyism knows no bounds does it? You're not even being reasonable in it. You moan about what 'could have been' in another thread, and here you're exclaiming the 180 the victor immediately. You are hilarious.

Lol what? You haven't even held the thing yet man. Good god. Your bias is amazing.

#DealWithIt

The #NoDRM movement and many editorials around the web have examples of such informed criticism, but it's the outcry of consumers that led MS to change their policy. That's undeniable. Everyone who supported MS's practices before today look like fools now.

That pretty much sums up how this generation is starting. Sony won on policy, that's about the only thing that can be agreed on. The games...people are going to debate you on that, but everyone who isn't a blind MS fanboy can agree that the games are screwed by being on the system with DRM.

I told him the same a few hours ago but clearly he ignored it. Boo on him :/

If MS didn't implement these policies, Sony would also have taken a different approach to their conference, as games would be the deciding factor rather than the 'PRESS TO WIN' button that they essentially had with MS screwing up so much here. It would change everything.

There's no point in trying with him. I had a back and forth with him a few hours ago and listed everything out in plain detailing. I thought he had gotten it, but as I can see from his posts here, he's just ignored them. He claims to be impartial because he owns a PS3 and 360, but it's clear where his loyalties lie.

What you're seeing is a massive surge of Xbox fanboyism in retaliation against what they see as openings for attack on the PS4. The past few months have been pretty dire for Xbox fans, it was only a matter of time before the fanboys came out kicking. There are PS fanboys somewhere in the mix of all this hullabaloo,

It's been confirmed on NeoGAF that no media features are locked behind a paywall. The only thing moving to PS Plus is online multiplayer. I hate that Sony did that, it's going to alienate a lot of gamers coming from the PS3 who won't justify the $50 PS Plus sub. Since they are going with it though, they may as well

Haha wow, I've never seen someone try to push a blatant lie so much in the name of corporate loyalty. Everyone has provided you numerous links to peruse that refute your statement, yet you persist. Your bubble is as thick as adamantium.

The thing about the X1 is that it hasn't gone full digital, it still uses discs, so it's subject to consumer expectations that they can do what they want with the discs as far as reselling and lending. Were MS to go full digital, they wouldn't have needed to create the weird policies they have in place.

-If you mean that pubs will start pushing persistent worlds and always-connected games, you may be right. I'm hoping that it doesn't come to that, and if it does then I may just quit console gaming altogether. I don't think you're correct with that 95% prediction, there are still many people who hold their rights

Steam has an offline mode, and I've heard that you don't have to check it online for up to a month or something around there. It isn't a perfect digital platform, and I really prefer GOG over it for their adherence to no DRM, but it's a step.

Steam and iTunes benefit from a very open market. Steam has to compete with GOG, Amazon, and essentially every retailer on the internet that sells games. iTunes has to compete with other vendors in the music industry. The Xbox One will have a closed ecosystem wherein only 'participating' retailers get to sell used

The big fuss over the Xbox One's used games policy is that we're limited to accepted retailers that are participating in this plan, which makes private reselling and lending impossible, in addition to cutting out indie retailers. It cuts out venues for consumers to do business.

- I love playing BF3 and I'm pretty bummed I can't do MP for free on the PS4. I also liked playing Armored Core online matches. However, the bulk of my gaming is in RPGs and other single player games. It's how I've grown up with gaming. My main source of multiplayer is on PC MMOs.

-"that's X2 was doing all along and said at the conference." Can you clarify this? I don't understand what you're trying to say there. From the link I provided:
