That's what I'm envisioning right now - Sony's made the first move, it wants to see what MS will do (and Ninty for that matter - they're already responding with a Nintendo Direct tomorrow…

I'm thinking the Wii U will survive. It has at the very least, Ninty's 1st party support, and they're holding a Nintendo Direct on the 21st (today) to show more 3rd party support. Let's hope all the console makers do well this gen in some form.
