When i was doing my masters research on evolutionary biology, I found several sources that said a particular species can survive with as few as 100 genetically unique individuals. Now, there will be SOME genetic issues.

However, I think it's legitimate to be a critical fan after that point. I read the book a while ago, yet there are some concepts that I have kept around as good ideas, while casting others aside as drivel.
Someone needs to put together an Xibit piece for this.
I did: Old people. REALLY old people.
Actually, what they were doing was shooting the foam into the engine intakes, since they were likely still running, sucking the foam through the airplane, past the gas tanks (!) and out teh back to where the fire was. This contains the flames and keeps them from the cockpit while the team at the back of the plane put…
Death wobble in three... two... one....
AH! I see what you mean, and completely agree. Though I personally had nothing but a good experience with Vista, I'm more than aware of how many people had issues with it. And I was burned by ME, without a doubt.
Ok, see, then there is a significant difference in what you call mediocre, and what it means. What you are saying is that you fear Windows 8 will not be a significant feature upgrade over 7. Given the quality and overall success of 7, I'd say that anything built on it will not be mediocre, just not a huge upgrade…
What about an integrated app store makes you read the word 'mediocre' into the article?

If this effect had come out before Avatar's CG face technology, i might have been blown away. As is, just meh.
Why would it slow down? There is nothing acting on it to accelerate it in the opposite direction...
FYI, it seems Gingerbread allows for more 'recent apps' than just 8.
I see what you mean, but I disagree. I didn't buy an Android phone because of an inherent desire for an open platform. For the average consumer, 'open' vs 'closed' is not a difference you notice on a day to day basis.
Too little too late? But ina good way. If the motoblur on the gingerbread Droid2 rom is any indication, they have finally got their stuff together. It's fast, rootable, and very reliable. hard to beat.
I own 5: A laptop: I spend most of my time here. It's my note taking, internet browsing, all day at school system. An Alienware M11x.
First, ask around and have an open mind. I have a B.S. and M.S. in biology and realized that I didn't want to do research for the rest of my life. So I asked around, and a friend suggested I spend a few hours with a patent attorney they knew. Now, I'm wrapping up law school, and finally know that what I want to do for…
High school student? You're going to do alright...
