Yeah I was being a little tongue-in-cheek about the question but the more I dwell on it, the better of an idea it becomes. 

Miatas are usually second cars and are almost always a toy. I think lots of people don’t want to rely on an electric car as their only form of transportation, but if their toy, that they’re never going to be tempted to take on a road trip happens to have a super low overhead and never needs gas? That’s pretty cool.

Mazda does make beautiful cars. I really think an electric Miata would sell like crazy if they can price it under 30K and make it have a range of 200 miles or so. I mean they put so much money into Wankel which is FAR more complex to fix/troubleshoot/refine the sealing issues. Compared to that an Electric Miata should…
