What does Nintendo own that they didn’t make themselves? All I can think of is Eternal Darkness (Silicon Knights) and Pokémon (Game Freak), and Nintendo only part-owns Pokémon, sharing it with the creator and Creatures, Inc.

And they’ll do absolutely fuck all with 90% of those franchises.
