Not sure if we have many Australians here - but some good news from Down Under. The country has just held a nationwide postal survey on a proposal to allow same sex couples to marry.

It’s a low bar indeed where we applaud when the Republicans seemingly do the right thing and decide a statutory rapist shouldn’t hold elected office.

Also, Alabama, if you do elect Moore, we will concede that we should have let you leave the Union and you should go ahead and do so posthaste.

I totally believe he will win. Republicans will imbrace him and act like there are no accusers.

I hate to say it but I can see this guy still being elected. There might be some hue and cry for a while, but he’d eventually just blend into the GOP senators, e.g., see the guy who assaulted that reporter, and is now serving not a sentence in jail but in Congress.

It’s Rand Paul getting his arse kicked for once. It could’ve been for having his grass 0.1 inches too tall for the residential committee and I’d still find it justified.

This Rand Paul story is strange indeed. His defensive tweets are both from far right media (Breitbart and Washington Examiner), and thus, likely parroting statements his own flacks gave them.
