You’re right about all of that, which makes the timing of the supposed DNA test more suspicious. Seems ill advised, if it happened at all. People also have DNA testing for all sorts of reasons…genetic counseling for cancer markers, etc.

We know a young man who came out on FB on Marriage Equality Day. That kid has a mountain of parental and religious baggage to sort through. But he’s getting there.

Just because you find a gay person who doesn’t believe in marriage equality, or a black person who doesn’t like Obama, doesn’t mean they represent the entire demographic. Or even that they have a single shred of credibility.

Have you heard of that 23 and Me DNA test? My father did it recently and found out that the long rumored Cherokee great-great-great-great grandmother was untrue, based on DNA. It seems like if there is a question that they care to have answered, there is a pretty easy way to do it.
