For me, this episode underlined how useless it is to think you are in some sort of control during the zombie apocalypse. Dawn thinks she is in charge, but caters so much to her officers that she has no control. Abraham was in charge, but learning that his mission was false made him short circuit. Sasha was in

I've thought about that too. Pretty much the only nod to her actual age was when they buried Meep and she was offered the flask.

My favorite part was Gabourey Sidibe's phone call to ask about her mother. When she said she was really uncomfortable so she was going to hang up, I could totally relate.

I'm a little disappointed there was no Alexander Skarsgard.

I thought the scalpel was for an escape attempt, and anyone who was in her way. She might not have been thinking she was out to kill the doctor specifically, but he was standing between her and the door. Plus he had keys in his lab coat, so that may have been a factor.

"I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.

I don't think Tyreese thought he was dead. Ty kept saying he wouldn't kill, so he probably beat the dude into unconsciousness and called it good. I think that Ty is going to have to confront the pacifist part of himself this season, and come to the realization that the Governor pointed out: You kill or you die.

I'm thinking the same thing. Like they did with Andrea, they took a horror movie victim and allowed her to change into someone who was a survivor. Granted, they botched her storyline quite a bit, and could have done things better. And the way they killed her was frustrating, to say the least. But Andrea's growth

I'll have to watch it again and see. I remember him telling the others not to go into the cabin and he took care of it, but I don't remember Ty explicitly saying "I killed him."

I love Carol's character development. She is a completely different person compared to season one Carol. You don't mess with this Carol, or the people she considers her family. I think she let the zombies eat the grill lady for a couple of reasons. It distracted the zombies enough that she could get away, and it

I have a shirt with that saw torture pic on it. I got it at a Nine Inch Nails concert. Huh.

Thanks for sticking with it through all of the insanity and giving us these lovely, funny recaps.

I felt the same way. I'd usually have the TV on for noise while I was reading. This episode made me sit up and pay attention, though. So maybe check this one out and see i you think it is worth investing in.

I grew up on a cattle ranch, and this is correct. Cows learn to come running at the sound of the truck's horn.

I'm wondering what happened to the "Lafayette is some sort of psychic medium ghost whisperer" plot line. Why couldn't he have done his mojo without drinking vampire blood? Because then we wouldn't have had dramatic Lettie Mae speeches about not abandoning her baby again?

I think Lafayette has gotten two of the best speech scenes in the entire show. First he got the AIDS burger speech back in season one. (I think it was the first season, I may be wrong though.) And now he got this speech about deserving his slice of the happiness pie too. Granted, it might not have been the best

I was hoping this article might touch on some of the underlying issues behind the Alpha/Omega stories. Like power imbalances, gender fluidity, a chance for the author and readers to explore inequality without calling out someone specific, the way women are still treated in society today... that sort of thing.

I'm wondering about the opportunities this would give to an abusive or controlling partner.

I always imagined Lettie Mae to be more of a SoCo type of woman.

This was old school perc coffee, and my grandmother was the one who did it. It tasted the same as most other coffee to me. Except she made it so strong you almost had to chew it.
