My brief VR experience ended with an upset stomach and a headache that lasted a couple hours. I am still VR-curious, but if that is the result, it’s definitely not worth it.

Funny because I see people driving with their honkers in their phones, too. At least when you’re walking, you’re not likely to cause property damage or kill someone other than yourself.
Yeah, I’m not seeing the appeal of PS Plus. Sony’s bread and butter are their exclusives. And if you want to play them within 18 months of them coming out (when they’re shiny and new and people are excited about them), you’ll pay $70 for them anyway! So you can pay $120 a year for Ubi games, indies and old games that…
The $1 upgrade thing is a ridiculous deal even if it’s not advertised - it’s not really cheating the system when Microsoft is the one offering it. And as for getting “locked in” now - I have already paid and have a multi-year subscription because of that. If they jack up the price, that won’t hurt me in the slightest.…
Agreed. “Officially,” Gamepass is more expensive, but realistically it’s dirt cheap. I was able to load up three years worth of XBox Live for cheap and then convert it all to a Gamepass subscription for $1 or something. All in, I think I got 36 months of Gamepass for something like $3 a month.
This doesn’t really have to do with the article, I just always like to chime in to say how much I love the S. There have been so few AAA games since the start of the pandemic, that currently, I couldn’t care less about performance. Elden Ring and Forza Horizon look great, and I haven’t found any other top tier games…
I’m into this trailer. It was the first Star Wars thing in a while where I was able to ask myself if I’d be interested if I wasn’t already fully immersed in a lifetime of Star Wars content, and the answer was yes!
I’m holding out for a slim or a must-play. I grabbed a Series S and it’s been awesome as a Gamepass machine. There haven’t been any AAA games that seem worth a new machine so far - even Elden Ring plays really well on the Series S.
I’ve read The Green Knight, so I wasn’t expecting an action movie. I just feel like the stuff that was inserted - basically the whole “adventure” part of it after the bandits show up until he finds the Green Knight - were weaker than the parts that were actually adapting the original story. I was cool with the dream…
Have you seen The Green Knight? Is that what you’re looking for? Because I was hyped as hell for that and then like 40% of the movie was just nonsense that the director came up with that had nothing to do with. LoTR brought the books to life. It’s a war story, inspired by an actual war, and the movies largely focused…
Agreed. At different times, I’ve been more hyped about AAA games. I am now more interested in playing a creative indie than another cut-and-paste AAA game, but I’m also playing Elden Ring so…
I think Dave likes to just bring this up every once in a while to remind people who he is and that Alanis Morisette might have went down on him at least once. Seems like he’s the one who’s hurt though since it’s 30 years later and he’s still hanging onto her coat tails.
Not all games are “fun” though, right? Someone please check the Elden Ring review for how often that word comes up.
I’m in my mid-30s and I don’t think I have ever once paid money for a landline, and I haven’t had cable since I lived in a dorm room. I spend more now on streaming than I ever have on TV services. They just kept growing slowly enough that I didn’t notice until I suddenly had four different streaming services and still…
I graduated college in the last recession and was thoroughly underemployed for a few years after that. I thought a cheeseburger and a beer was an expensive meal. Gen Z is still in their early 20s at the old end, so let’s not make any sweeping statements about their spending habits until they’re at a point in their…
I’m pretty sure they said there won’t be a third game in the series because of the development time it takes to put these out. I think this could go in some really dark directions since we know about Loki. And I’ll just leave it at that since there might be some people who haven’t played GOW.
I don’t know anything about building software, but it boggles my mind that one of the biggest electronics companies in the world built a machine that they knew would have a lifespan of like five to seven years and make it so locked down that this is still an issue years later. I wish games were made to be enjoyed…
Agreed. I got pretty tired of Bond. Casino Royals and Skyfall were great, but the others were just kind of cookie cutter Bond movies.
James Bond is the MOST men’s role. James Bond as a character has only existed to sell suits, expensive watches, liquor and sports cars to middle aged men since the 1960s. One of his primary character traits is being a misogynist.
It’s so strange that this game took so long. They already had such a solid foundation with Black Flag. They just had to come up with some semblance of a story and tack on a multiplayer feature that would probably only have a niche following in the first place. I am wondering what other features they decided to build…
