I’m currently planning on going XBox next gen, but I grew out of being a Halo fan. I don’t know why I should care about the Master Chief collection in the first place, let alone with the upgrade. I’m not nostalgic enough for Halo 2 to revisit it.

If you go to “Start Slideshow” there’s a button to view the list. I strongly encourage everyone to click that button so whoever watches the metrics on these things sees everyone just clicking the list button and skipping everything else!

As a non-sneakerhead, I’m wondering whether someone would own Jordans AND Adidas. Or do you just stick with your brand?

I don’t know, I bought a PS4 specifically to play the single player exclusives. I’ve had the console for about three years and didn’t bother to get PS+ until a couple months ago. Depends on how you play and where you live.

I think 2020 messed up the launch for both of the consoles. Not that there would have been a bunch of launch games regardless, but considering the most exciting thing to come out for either XBox or Playstation is a remake of a 10-year-old game, I think it’s just going to take some time for these new systems to be

Same here. I’m planning on going XBox + Gamepass and I’m psyched to get all of the games that come with it. Plus I got rid of an XBox about three years ago and have a lot of old game saves to reunite with...

I feel like that will just be in the Playstation exclusive games and maybe some of the huge ones like Assassins Creed. The fact that it’s only for Playstation Plus subscribers seems to indicate it’s not going to be widely adopted.

Final Fantasy isn’t too bad about that actually. I was more referring to JRPGs in general. FF7R is just kind of corny — but still enjoyable. And it was more of a western RPG than the original was anyway.

Same for me. I love a good RPG, but I can’t handle the anime-ness of JRPGs. Even FF7R, which I loved, was just too much. Why do all the characters look like children? Why are all the females hypersexualized children? Why is everything so goofy?

But it’s not Star Wars without everyone using kamikaze attacks. Am I the only one who saw The Last Jedi?

I hate playing fantasy games without a bearded character. If I can’t be bothered to shave every morning for work, then I certainly won’t be shaving when I’m hunting dragons in the Misty Mountains or whatever happens in Baldur’s Gate. We need better beard technology dammit!

The image was created using the *most popular* character creator tools, though. So if they have a broad range of choices, then most people will choose different things, right? If they have horns and pointy ears and all that, people might be using them, but the most popular selection for any given thing will probably

Agreed. I don’t necessarily like this character model, but I never liked the old one either. I got used to him but I never felt like he was the same guy in the suit. And there was always just something not totally natural looking about him (besides being a video game character).

For sure. I have historically sold old consoles to subsidize the new ones. This time around, I’m hanging onto the PS4 and don’t plan on buying a new console until I get through the backlog and they stop making games for both.

We’re getting paid less now too though. $70 was worth more to my parents, but my dad probably made the same income I do now, without adjusting for inflation.

Yes! I have a Mac and a PS4 so I’m always looking to see what other platforms something is released on or if it’s planned to release on something later.

I don’t see much of a reason to own a PS5 for a few years either. I plan on getting Miles Morales and Horizon for PS4. I’ll want God of War if/when it comes out next year, but Gamepass seems like a much better value until either console has a backlog.

This is all still hilarious to me since there won’t be any next gen games available for either at launch... Yeah, you’ll get Gamepass, but what are you going to play in November that you wouldn’t be able to get otherwise?

A lot of people want them before the holidays to give them as gifts. No, their lives aren’t going to be changed if they buy them later, but that’s generally the whole reason these things are released in November in the first place.

Avowed, Fable and Elder Scrolls 6 (if it ever exists) are enough to get me to buy an XBox. If Senua 2 gets some more polish and a full-length game, that should be an excellent addition too.
