I think it's more about having it be in the background relatively un-noticed vs. very clearly CGI that's over used and in your face vs. subtlety.

Yes I know. It's more about that specific scene, I had no idea the storm troopers were part of the matte painting, not that there's not matte painting involved.

I always knew about the paintings, I'm just amazed that that particular scene was all matte painting. I really assumed that those were actors standing on a shiny floor up until today!

The amazing thing about Star Wars: Even though I've learned pretty much everything about the movies and seen them way too many times to count, there's ALWAYS something new I find out about them every year or so.

WHOA, no shit?

"Underwear-on-the-outside-Luke Action figure"

Yes, but it's about the computational time needed. Renders aren't done on the CT machine itself. If you run a patient through every 30 mins M-F 8 hours a day like my hospital, you're not going to get much in the way of rendering time over all, otherwise it's going to take days with a never ending back log to render.

Additional info: CT machines for the most part already have that level of detail, the problem is more computational time need to get that resolution.

wouldn't all of the moisture in the dough boil away because it's in a vacuum?

I saw this on Amazon Instant as an early release rental. It wasn't bad! Much better than the 3rd one, but not quite up to snuff compared to 1 + 2. Though, it's not the sort of movie you watch for high art. I was thoroughly entertained.

Because there's a ton more round analog watches than square ones? Because I'd rather have a watch than another gadget. If it can be a watch before it's a gadget, they have my money. Innovation isn't "wasted" it simply is. Is a slab the only form factor a phone can have? Is a tiny square screen the only way a watch

...don't wake them up

Because I don't want to read anything on a smart watch. I want a watch that gives me simple notifications that I don't have to recharge daily.

I've thought about this before. I'm not sure if I'd do it or not, but if it were more customization I might do it for $5 a month. I just don't know if the hypothetical company would make any money from $5 a month., and I'm not sure if I'd pull the trigger.

TOO SOON!

My kingdom for a round e-ink watch

It has a E-Ink screen, but it's back lit with an LED. So yes and no. basically the LED is used so you can see it in the dark, but it's still an E-Ink screen on the Pebble.

What the hell people? Why don't people understand that Facebook is there to use you as revenue?
