100% Agree with this sentiment. I think most of us riders agree that the only time you pick up a rag is at the supermarket when killing time. Almost always disappointed.... I do still visit RideApart and find the content to be good.

I think its a little bit of both. If he had taken any small difference of action it could have turned out differently. Whether that was by experience(skill) or pure random instinct(luck) I don't know. Any other info on his thoughts afterwards would be great to hear as well as what his experience driving is

This is what I will now point to when people ask me why I drive a small car that is nearly as old as I am. The pure joy of a car that is mechanically designed to DRIVE.... not insulate me from the road for a mindless a to b. That must have been quite a visceral experience. Amazing save
