Its actually really refreshing to see somebody adapt the Bat-mobile as a car instead of some monstrous tank with mounted guns on it.

Animating in 3d is a million times easier and faster than animating in 2d. I can knock out a polished walk or run cycle in 15 minutes on a 3d character. Doing that in 2d at production quality takes ages. And if I want to tweak the animation afterwards, it’s as easy as adjust a key frame or function curve.
