I had a 77, a 78 and 84 Celica GT hatches. They were slow but fun and I will always have a soft spot for those cars. Once they went to the FWD platform, I lost all interest in them.

Around here the proper idiom is “can’t pull a greasy hair out of a cat’s ass” but close enough.

Cattle Prod - love so tender just fall off the bone....

They are (were) a local band from my hometown of Marietta, GA. I knew lead singer Murray Attaway’s little sister a long time ago. Great band! I would have chosen “Watusi Rodeo” instead.

It’s the Finnish accent that gets me. I’ve been to Finland a more than dozen times and love the people there. I can totally picture this guy in my mind, all Sisu but with a twinkle in his eye.

Having lived under the 300 gig cap for about a year, having a terabyte seems positively luxurious. We’ve been averaging about 400 gigs per month streaming all our TV, plus two folks working from home and whatever in the hell my 17 year old son does all day. I don’t have an issue with a terabyte. Until the day I buy a

Ditch the tongue, add tusks, and do it up in Arkansas Razorback red and you’ve got a winner in the Little Rock luxury pickup segment.

I saw my daughter and her sign in there on TV. It made me happy. Was hoping to see her here, but did not. It made me sad.

Almost dead and practically worthless after only 6 years? Not a ringing endorsement.

That’s not JDM. This is JDM.

Good news! Gas is too cheap. Higher priced gas encourages conservation and development of new technologies, a long term benefit for all. Also, lower oil prices will hopefully increase US production and drilling, which is a short term benefit for my personal finances. A win-win.

To be fair, I would have bought my ‘13 Outback with a 6 speed if I could have gotten it in Limited trim. SOA only put the stick in the lower content cars. I’ve grown to like the CVT, so it’s no great loss.

The Road Kill guys will read this and shed a tear at the collapse of American manhood. Three whole hours, you poor thing!

Flow cell batteries are a real thing. In their current state of development, the most successful versions are pretty large. The target of most flow cell batteries right now is to store execess power from wind, solar, and co-generation facilities for use during times of peak demand or low power generation. Everything

The problem here is the owner started with the absolute epitome of malaise-era GM cars for this project. The ‘79 ‘Bu was the worst of the worst, a cheap and even more cheaply built hunk of garbage, a true cockroach of a car except not as durable.

That you shouldn’t try to suggest ways to fix/change something you do not understand. But, hey! It’s the internet, so please carry on.

Obviously you’ve never actually seen a bike race...

That’s not it at all. The Escala is less of an event than the Elmiraj. You could put 4 doors on an Elmiraj and it would still work. The Escala designers ate the same bland tapioca that’s being served in the Audi studio’s cafeteria.

The Ciel is amazing, there is no doubt about that. But it’s not even close to being a practical production car. This is not to say you wouldn’t be the biggest baddest mofo baller at your local cars and coffee if you pulled up in a Ciel. No one would give a line of Paganis, Koenigseggs, or LaFerraris a second look.

Meh. Well maybe not meh because it’s pretty good, but the Elmiraj is much much sexier.
