ATL isn't so bad. Ever been to JFK? And you can walk a long assed way changing planes in MSP, although it is generally a nicer place to walk around than at ATL. YVR gets my vote for nicest airport in NA, although it's been many years since I've been there.

Trying to piss off an unruly mob is generally a bad idea, no matter how immorally the mob is behaving. Just sayin'... Martydom is way overrated.

How come nothing interesting like this ever happens when I'm ATL? I'm there at least a couple of time every damn week and all I ever get to are huge crowds and cheerful young people accosting me at every turn asking if I want to sign up for an Amex gold card.

What? Behaving in a bombastic and jingoistic manner as a visitor in a foreign land creates friction with the locals? Who 'da thunk it?

I love to slam all VAG brands but Skoda. It could be that my perception is different from the reality, but I'd love to see the marque here in the states because I think I'd be Skoda buyer. VW and Audi, no way. Skoda? Oh hell, yeah.

What better way to sell 2.7L V-6 Ecoboosts ? If the old 5.4 F-150 engine was good enough for last GT, the new F-150 engine should be as well!

Cadillac has had some iconic names over the years. Most of their model names don't work for them today as they are trying to shed their stodgy old-fart image. Coupe de Ville and Sedan de Ville, and plain old De Ville are probably the worst offenders here.

I've got a 2001 Toyota Avalon as a third car. It would probably make this list had it been nominated, as it is a pretty simple and basic car. But I have to admit I've got a bad jones for a Panther. Someone talk me out of it, please.

Note to Dave's girlfriend: cars only explode in the movies.

Early C3's with chrome bumpers rank higher than C4s. Otherwise you are correct.

So... it's a German Outback. I'd still rather have my Outback, CVT and all.

I've an Outback and a minivan. Best of both worlds.

Aw, HELL no!

So much wrongness in you.

The question related to "war" planes, so my answer is seriously OT.

Saturn was a beacon of light back in GMs dark days: they made great, innovative cars and offered a painless dealership experience until the rest of GM got jealous. They became increasingly badge-engineered and neglected until they fell victim to the financial meltdown.

For what it's worth, I won't spend that much on a car. Theoretically I could afford the lease on one, but kids in college do tend to crimp one's style. When they get out, I'm spending the money on a boat, and not the kind Cadillac makes!

Assuming I'd spend ~$80,000 for a car and Cadillac was offering the Elmiraj at that price point, would I buy it?

I always make the dealer remove the sticker/badge they apply to all their new cars.

With seven transatlantic trips on tap in the next seven months, I sure hope this doesn't turn into a fiasco like it did with the Unpronounceable Volcano a couple of years ago.
