The current ones are up to snuff, IMO. This is based on 4 or 5 rentals in the last year. Would I buy one for myself? Probably not, because I like the Fusion better. The current Impala is very nice, though.

So many choices... Where to begin?
Good for you on the karma booster!
I had a 92 Taurus wagon as a company car for a couple of years and I also purchased a new '97 sedan in '97 (duh). I always liked these cars for what they were. The wagon was especially excellent. I sold my '97 to my dad about 10 years ago and he still has the darn thing. The interior…
Dat smoke ring!
Ex Chrysler CEO Bob Nardelli who got run out of Home Depot with a huge platinum parachute ($210 MM severance!) for wrecking their corporate culture and a stagnant share price, mostly because he was an asshole. As an auto exec, he repeated the his dismal performance , this time without the lottery payout at the end.
Yep. It does get off the line surprisingly well, which is handy at traffic lights. The paddle shifters are great for long downhill grades, but a that's about all they are good for.
It will be the FB25 in US. The FB has a flatter torque curve, timing chains, and no head gasket issues (that I've heard about anyway). Hopefully the new one will have direct injection which should help fuel economy.
My 2013 gets 27-28 mpg on the highway as long as I keep it 75 and under. Limited to 65 mph, mileage goes to 30-32. It's a big brick of a car and air gets thicker the faster you go.
Nice, except those are Thule. I'm pretty heavily invested in Yakima stuff so making the switch would be hard.
The CVT in my 2013 is pretty darn good. It's nicer to drive than the 5sp autos in the two Toyotas in my driveway. I wanted the manual when I started looking at Outbacks, but after driving both I realized I like the CVT better. Perhaps I would have gone the other way if first gear in the 6MT hadn't been so tall and the…
I like it. However I see they still don't understand a lot of their user base when I see the factory roof racks. Outback owners frequently have stuff they want to carry on the roof, and a lot of us have already invested heavily in high quality aftermarket rack systems. Subaru came out with a funky design starting in…
Seen from the rear quarter, the new Jetta and Passat are as distinctive looking as is a concrete divider in the median of the freeway. Where I really hate the Vee-dubs is the interior. The interiors are monochrome, drab and visually uninteresting. I also find the Toyota interiors to be more comfortable.
It's been years since I had a car where I could see the hood. And it was a pickup truck. You get used to it pretty quickly.
The new Camry is a damn sight more interesting than this:
The Letourneau G175 tree crusher in Mackenzie, BC. I've been there and seen it for myself, but sadly didn't have a camera to take photos. THese are from the interweb.
Finally! A video of a race car without dub step soundtrack playing in the background.
Ok, Regular Car Review Guy, we are now enemies. Because minivans rock.
Way back in 85' or so, my then-girlfriend's brother bought a 200 SX after getting his first job out of college. He was so proud of the 'talking car' option that would tell you in a pleasant female voice "the door is ajar" and "lights are on" and "check your oil". The pride in that particular option wore pretty thin in…
If I want see a nekkid lady, all have to do is go upstairs. It's good being married!
Top Gear is the only reason I keeps BitTorrent client. I should be ready to watch in about 20 minutes.
