I hate Chadley so much. With one exception.

In the Queen’s Blood tournament, he gets some real backhanded snotty insults/taunts that I loved. Likewise, beating that fucker into the ground via a card game was vastly gratifying.

I got 40 points. He got zero. It was the most validated I’d felt the entire game

I started HZD and then switching to BotW almost immediately afterwards when HZD didn’t grab me immediately. I think I liked BotW more overall, though HZD had a much better story.

HFW grabbed me less. Horizon just seemed more like moustache twirling villains rather than (very) flawed humans like Faro, and the reveal was

The post credits scene was amazing. The final followup to what we learned about her and a perfect ending for the game.

I liked the combat a lot more than I liked other OW games (in particular - that you could brute-force your way through some fights or you could do them right and the game just let you do whichever you had the patience for).

But I agree that the story was amazing. I loved finding out slowly what had happened to the

Horizon is usually considered a great game. I think it’s suffered a bit in the past few years as it’s aged. The game is astoundingly pretty, and the mixture of stealth/combat is pretty excellent for an open-world game.

But I’ll admit that I loved the story (and found it incredibly depressing in a good way), but it’s

That’s a ludicrously good price. The Series S is a pretty great little system - gets you into the next-gen ecosystem and runs things pretty well, if not as awesomely as the X/PS5.

I actually have two I use as media and gaming boxes for my kids, but this is the sort of price that would prompt me to buy one as a gift

What’s interesting is that some of the descriptions are just flat-out copies of their pokemon equivalent. The Eevee analogue (for example) has an encyclopedia entry that talks about it being a ‘neutral type pokemon’ and lists some of its behaviors. All of which feel like they come straight from pokemon.

I see the giant swarm of reaction internet weebs have decided to yell at me. This is sad.

The game floats on people (particularly whales) buying ships to fund the game, but almost all ships can be obtained in game and it’s not particularly hard to get them. It’s basically a shortcut if you have a lot of money and no

I see that we’re into the annual “star citizen is expensive!” article. We do this every year, when they update their “get everything” pack to include the ships and other items released over the past year.

Or, you know, just buy a $60 ship and earn your way in game. I’ve seen people earn literally everything they need

Dark Souls (series) for sure. I’ve tried it, it’s quality, and I just don’t like it for the most part. I get tired of it after 5 or 10 hours.

I’ve never been into the Battle Royale thing at all, either.

This is a good deal - the Quest 2 is pretty awesome as a standalone headset and makes for a pretty decent PCVR solution.

But if you can afford a Quest3, do that instead. They’re better in quite a few ways.

I had a Duo as a kid (okay, I had a TurboGrafx-16 with the CD add-on and the SuperCD huCard) and the system is excellent. I have a modded japanese Duo now, but it doesn’t work all that well.

I ordered TWO of these, one as a gift for my brother. I’ve been waiting for this thing for years and I can’t wait to play my

Those are all very endgame activities, for the most part. The initial loop is pretty great, the problem is that not much of it has longevity. You can put an initial base together quickly, but there’s no real reason to. Likewise, you can do spaceflight 30 minutes into the game.

That recruitable NPCs don’t really matter

It’s absolutely an open world game, but does have sections connected. And those sections ARE pretty huge - they’re just mostly useless and there’s no reason to explore them.

Starfield is a lot of fun! I liked it quite a bit and put over 100 hours into it. Most of the stuff noted in this article are normal for RPGs or open-world games, but the real problem is that it needs additional DLC or systems to be fun over the long term.

Some of the BIG timesinks (bases) aren’t actually useful and

I don’t think I’d use it much at all and I’m somewhat tempted. Assuming it works well over my network, of course.

Well, yeah. Nintendo’s going to deny a Switch 2 until they’ve announced it, because otherwise they’ll have... unofficially announced the Switch 2.

Gonna make this short: Star Ocean 2 is a fantastic JRPG that still holds up today. This remake of it is genuinely great - they converted old pre-rendered backgrounds into 3d areas, updated the music, even the sprites catch light and shadow convincingly.

This is EXACTLY how you ‘update’ a game for the modern audience.

She’s actually saying the option didn’t exist on the paperwork. It does (there are literally pictures - she checked the OTHER box).

It doesn’t mean it’s not a deliberate move, but at minimum it’s lying.

Also bodes well for his legal team: This attorney forgot to ask for a trial by jury. That means this judge (that she and Trump have spent weeks publicly vilifying) will determine all damages and guilt on his own.
