The biggest problem I had is that while FF8 spends a lot of time doing interesting things, it tosses out a big revelation towards the end and then completely ignores it. The big revelation also has the effect of negating a huge amount of backstory.

To be fair, a new SD card is pretty damn cheap. The lack of onboard memory is an issue, but it’s not really a problem, if you get my meaning. 128gb of microSD is something like $50 on Amazon, so while it’s annoying for kids it’s not really an issue for most people. As someone who decided did NOT mind the crate system in the Battlefront II beta, it’s nice that they’re making these changes.

But then, the gaming hivemind online has basically decided that BFII is the worst anyway, so I doubt this will change anyone’s mind.

I’d also include Neurovoider, which is a fairly great rogue-lite that didn’t seem to get much attention when it came out last week. It’s a fantastic fit for the Switch platform, especially due to its couch co-op and excellent soundtrack.
