You know, I’m reasonably happy with the combat so far - it’s hard, but I’m okay with it.

The saving thing SUCKS, though. If you could save as much as you wanted, the clunkiness of the other parts of the game would be really ameliorated. As in, I wouldn’t get pissed as much about getting stuck on terrain in combat and

The biggest problem I had is that while FF8 spends a lot of time doing interesting things, it tosses out a big revelation towards the end and then completely ignores it. The big revelation also has the effect of negating a huge amount of backstory.

Totally agree on almost all counts. Loved it.

I am somewhat annoyed about the complete lack of backstory on Snoke. Not giving him any real backstory only really works if (like the Emperor) you understand his place in the universe and how crazy powerful he is. But we never really got a hint of Snoke in that way, so his

The counterpoint to this is that Abrams has Episode 9, which means it’ll mostly go back to being conventional Star Wars.

Especially since Leia can’t really be in Ep9 much, if they want any OT presence at all they’ll have to use Luke. If we get a bit more confirmation on the Obi-Wan movie, maybe they’ll let Ewan

It’s... well, let’s say it’s complicated, but this lawsuit isn’t going to bring anything down.

The whole thing is a mess of contradictions and CIG can countersue pretty easily. Most likely, CryTek gets a small settlement out of it and life continues as normal at CIG.

Contrary to this article, in the Lego community this set isn’t regarded too well. It has a lot of inaccuracies relating to the movie version, is completely the wrong color, and the wings aren’t even at the right angle. There are several “rebuild” guides that involve scrapping up to half the thing to actually build

The sad thing is, I would totally buy a copy of “Company of Heroes: Star Wars” for full price. As would a ton of other people.

Maybe somebody should get on that?

I had some problems running the video too (it started doing perma-buffering at 11 seconds in), and... yep, the video isn’t on youtube yet.

To be fair, I still remember lots of people flipping the fuck out back in the Jedi Knight days because it was possible to play multiplayer as a stormtrooper holding a lightsaber. Penny Arcade even made a comic about it where THEY were pissed.

A lot of Star Wars fans absolutely would go nuts over out-of-universe

Whoops, posted in the wrong place.

This almost makes me want to revisit any of the billion reddit threads with misleading information about Battlefront2! :P

This is a super-late reply, but while the game does NOT load your save from the previous game, you are the same kid. And in the first game, the New Kid was a boy who (at one point in the game) had to pretend to be a girl.

In my particular case, the sequel basically just “reveals” that the New Kid was a girl all along,

The original game wasn’t really written for a Triss romance, which is unfortunate as I’d really enjoyed her romance back through the first Witcher game. Things like Wolven Storm or that some of the initial dialogue implied that Yennefer and Geralt were still together even if they weren’t.

But this kind of had an

The Bitcher of Blaviken? :)

To be fair, a new SD card is pretty damn cheap. The lack of onboard memory is an issue, but it’s not really a problem, if you get my meaning. 128gb of microSD is something like $50 on Amazon, so while it’s annoying for kids it’s not really an issue for most people. Even another 32GB card is dirt cheap.

In my character’s case, he called to confirm my character’s case to confirm that she was actually a girl. Which made sense, because all of his documents (and the prior game) showed that my character was a boy.

Given that you’re allowed to say whether you’re a girl or trans after you tell him you’re female, it’s not

As someone who decided did NOT mind the crate system in the Battlefront II beta, it’s nice that they’re making these changes.

But then, the gaming hivemind online has basically decided that BFII is the worst anyway, so I doubt this will change anyone’s mind.

I’d also include Neurovoider, which is a fairly great rogue-lite that didn’t seem to get much attention when it came out last week. It’s a fantastic fit for the Switch platform, especially due to its couch co-op and excellent soundtrack.

Wat.

Seriously though, this is fantastic. Maybe I’ll actually finish Doom, though Wolf is definitely going on PC for me.

“Game has powerful women in it” is something that I both applaud for happening and am sad that it’s rare enough we still need to write articles about it. :(
