I think the best story I’ve got is from the Star Citizen Alpha.
I was working on a mission to re-activate a Comm Array in space. I boarded my fighter and flew in, dispatched a couple of pirates and then climbed out of my ship and EVA’d into the Comm Array. While inside, I heard a couple of large explosions outside.…
Does Chivalry allow you to parry arrows? Didn’t know that.
Basically, I’m doubtful this will work well in a more fast-paced system.
I guess the tl;dr is “We don’t know enough about the online service or Virtual Console yet”?
Personally, the online service doesn’t worry me at all. It’ll be cheap (1/3 to 1/2 of the competition), probably not incredibly robust but workable. It’ll be free for the first 6 months or so.
I’d like to know a lot more about…
I don’t think you can do this well in an online FPS/3rdPS: the introduction of lag will just make it too difficult to properly block a blaster shot on command.
Regarding discounts, current precedent is that you can buy the same game on a new system not for $1-2 off, but for about $2 total.
At least, that’s the case for all the SNES games I’d already bought on Wii that I can buy again on Wii U. $2 only.
Default female Shepard would have ALSO kicked default male Ryder’s ass.
We played a lot of the game as well, but the key thing to remember is that you can pick and choose what to use from each expansion. We used elements from both Exodus and Pegasus and got a lot out of it.
For example, we usually played with the additional characters from Pegasus and Exodus, but without Treachery cards,…
Exploring a planet together might be fun, but it’s less “exploring together” than “exploring at the same time”.
Other than ganging up during dogfights, I’m not seeing a big benefit to having another player around.
You’ve... got that sorta wrong.
They said that they’ll eventually have a “lab” ship, and one of the possible things they could do with that lab ship was grow plants. Then they did a “concept sale”, and said they’d finish the ship and mechanics later but if you wanted to buy in this is how they think it would work.

I haven’t played much in the past few years, but: It IS fun. The ship combat is pretty interesting, as is how you structure your starship equipment and what skills your bridge officers have.
The on-foot stuff is uninspiring but not painful. I never really got into crafting or the extended officer-management stuff you…
This reminds me very much of Blackwake, actually. Maybe slightly more polished by less zany and interesting. But also releasing later.
You can get a decent deck after about 20 minutes. Especially if you just go to a couple inns and buy the cards there, you’ll have enough good cards to beat all the gwent players who aren’t “bosses”.
This. Pretty sure it’s not going to even allow for ‘local co-op’, it’ll be an internet multiplayer game with everyone playing on the same server. Can’t imagine it could succeed otherwise if it required 4 high-end PCs and 4 HMDs in the same room.
Interestingly, the TAY Review that just got posted basically fits my opinion on the game. It’s fun, the controls take some time but are a blast, and some of the voice acting is silly (though I think in a good way). The graphics are a little lackluster up close, but in general I love the art style.
But I honestly can’t…
This is actually something I keep seeing - individual players seem to really like it for the most part, but professional reviewers really DON’T like it. I wonder what the disconnect is?
Internet table flipping is almost always unjustified. :)
There’s some semi-substantiated posts from supposed anonymous Oculus employees in the Oculus subreddit about what’s causing the shipping delays. Short version is: the shipping/packaging/manufacturing partner fucked up bad, but the contract Oculus has with them says they can’t actually publically blame that partner.
Ther…
I felt that way about Burnout 3, actually - I never played 2, but 3 was fantastic. But then 4 happened, where they’d allow you to ram NPC cars... and the whole ‘weaving through traffic’ thing got so much less interesting.
It’s not on Steam, it’s on Origin.
That said, I think the numbers were relatively low on PC and Xbox One, (5-10k per day?) and much higher for the PS4 version.
