If it helps, the 17k credits is pretty easy to do. But no argument the level 40 requirement sucks a good deal of butt.

It’s very easy to do bad emulation. I’m assuming that Nintendo is attempting to do very good emulation. <shrug>

Gotta say, I’m loving the writing in this so far. The amount of text is almost immaterial to the quality of the writing, which is phenomenal.

I stopped playing as soon as I’d figured out I was going to love the full game (about 45 minutes). It’s looking great. :)

Homeworld: Desert of Kharak is sucking up an awful lot of my time. I may also finish Xenoblade Chronicles X, maybe.

How would you buy one? Just ask on their facebook page? Hm. I’ll have to think about it.

I’m still all over Kickstarter - my projects tend to come in late, but I’ve been pretty happy with almost all of them. And I’ve kickstarted ~60 projects at this point. And this looks interesting enough to throw some money at, so I’m in. Thanks for letting me know about this.

For everyone complaining about kickstarter:

That is absolutely the theme I was thinking of. The original chip-tune is STILL fantastic. The horrible tinny instruments and the fact that the flute is completely drowned out just ruin the whole thing.

Given that it’s a futuristic flying ship, the Talon could have gone with more ‘modern’ instruments and been entirely

I could be wrong, but my understanding of that mail was that PVP multiplayer wasn’t a “focus”, but basically a way to get an early version of combat to the players for fun/testing/balancing, and that the story and single player were still the primary focus for the game.

As I said, could be wrong but that’s my

You know, the original Talon theme was freaking fantastic on the original gameboy speaker. The newer versions of most of the music in the re-release just doesn’t have any of the energy of the original, weirdly enough. :(

Especially later in the game, Fusion Cores are pretty common. You can also get a nearly unlimited amount of them out of the Brotherhood if you exploit pickpocketing. I think you can also take perks to get more use out of the power cores, which lets you use them more often.

In prior games, Power Armor was just a better

It’s very low risk - people have been doing this for a lot of games, and Valve has never (to my knowledge) ever banned or even asked users about it.

I’m a huge fan of the game. I’ve played it for maybe a week so far, just an hour or two at a time, and I’ve already had so many good memories of playing with my friends. Even the PUGs are really fun!

Except for that one PUG, with that terrible dwarf player. Yeah, YOU, Mr. “I like to not defend the guy carrying the

Completely agree, actually.

I pick up a very small amount of games for my PS4/Xbone - most of the good ones I can just get on my PC and they usually look better.

I actually enjoy Mad Max a lot more than MGS V, weirdly. It just seems less pretentious and I’m almost never annoyed because of the game mechanics.

Having a blast with both, really.

It’s a good problem to have, right?

It’s... consider this. CIG is going from nothing (5 people ->300+ people) in a couple years, not to mention extensive modification of the engine as well as having to develop a ludicrous amount of content and systems. An ordinary studio starts with proper funding and organization, for one thing.

In an ordinary project,

....and I didn’t really want this game until now. And now I really, really do. :)

As someone who’s in for a lot of money and whose wife and many friends are in for a very small amount of money, I honestly wouldn’t worry about the F2P aspect. You can earn the larger stuff in-game anyway, and once the game launches you won’t be able to buy ships with real money.

Think Guild Wars 2, basically. It

They haven’t actually made any real promises about exploitable planets. Not really. Just that there will be planets, you’ll be able to scan them and that there may be resource points (on planet or off) that you can get control of.

One of the stretch goals WAS to fund procedural tech to allow planet exploration sometime

It says “Long after” in description. I’d guess they’re sidestepping the whole issue by just saying “Humanity made it thanks to Shepard.”
