It wasn’t very well known, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t really like this game.
It wasn’t very well known, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t really like this game.
If it came to consoles (or PC), I’d probably play it even if it was awful.
But as a mobile game... I’m gonna nope right out of that one. Can’t stand playing games on my tablets or phone.
This is absolutely correct. Even if you’re an amazing technical person, getting a job in the tech industry will get harder and harder as you get older - especially in the younger, more internet-centric tech companies.
The difference is if you’re in management - if you can crack the Director level or above, you’re…
They’re talking about things that were present in BattleFront 2 and not in BattleFront 3, though those things were never promised for BF3. If I remember right, the big ones are: No Prequel Trilogy locations or factions, and no space battles. That’s the big ones.
There were some real problems at launch due to the way preloading worked. Turned out players had to manually select all DLC to download before the game was playable - and the “DLC” in question had some core game components in it and shouldn’t have been classified as DLC.
Other than that, seems to be running fine for…
The Steam Reviews aren’t mostly negative, actually - last I checked, Steam said it has 71% positive reviews. In fact, they explicitly call this “Mostly Positive”. :)
</nitpick>
What’s your party? Before leaving Gilded Vale, you should have yourself+a mage NPC + a fighter NPC. You can get another couple of pre-genned NPCs if you know where to look too, but if you’re struggling go spend a couple hundred gold at the Inn and make a few custom characters to round out your party.
I’m playing on…
Weirdly enough, I've only seen two 'real' bugs in PoE so far. This, and a bug inside a certain castle that can make leaving the castle impossible.
I think both of those are easily resolvable. Here's hoping the game doesn't continue to be perceived as seriously buggy. :)
It's been a few years, but those things were a massive pain in the ass. I think I basically did a bunch of Igni signs and ran around a lot. Maybe not the most effective method, but it worked. :)
Those things cause a lot of problems for people, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were more hints in some walkthroughs out…
That's not weird at all - just wanted to say that if you liked The Witcher at all, the sequel is just fantastic.
If you don't mind me asking, what is it you're enjoying about The Witcher? With me, it was the fact that the storyline really treated you like an adult, and the consequences of the choices you made weren't…
+1 for The Witcher!
If you want to test your system, The Witcher 2 is both fantastic and a great way to melt hardware that's 2-3 years old. It just looks fantastic on newer hardware, especially the Forest in Act 1.
At this point? Star Citizen. It's been a long time since I've seen a game look that pretty that can occasionally make your hardward puke in unexpected ways. A heavily customized CryEngine 3 will do that, I guess.
It's a great system tester, is what I'm saying. :)
Whether or not that kind of maneuver is effective depends largely on the maneuverability of your ship, the surroundings, and your opposing pilot.
In the first minute or so of the video, the other player (in a Super Hornet) could be doing a much better job. That said, this pilot knows what he's doing. :)
I've got a HOTAS controller and it's a huge amount of fun to play that way, but the game is perfectly playable with mouse and keyboard. And before I had this swanky joystick I used a $30 logitech joystick paired with my keyboard and it worked fine. :)
Gredzchen?
I'm very curious. :)
Got it installed and played for ~30 minutes last night. Really enjoyed it, had great performance and the game itself seemed fun. And then it crashed. And then it kept crashing.
This is very obviously correct. The Grandmaster will also quote things back to you that Geralt told to Alvin. It's definitely him. But I loved that the game never explicitly tells you this, and that Geralt doesn't figure it out either. It's a very sad ending in it's own way.
This is sort of correct. The first Witcher game has a LOT of moments and subquests that are taken directly from the Witcher short story books. It's a really fascinating look at the world, but it had to be more of a standalone game - they didn't have any real idea if they'd get to have a sequel or not.
That said, there…
The first Witcher game? I loved the story - it had a couple of really brilliant moments and showcased how your decisions had unintended consequences. Maybe I'm the only one.
Sorta. :)
