I'm actually way, way more concerned about sound effects. If they don't give her female sound files for grunts, swings, whatever it gets awkward super fast.

A lot of this is related to the software industry in general, not just game dev. I work in a large-ish SAAS company, and they're more than willing to let you pull continual 12-hour shifts (on dev, testing, anything) and then tell you they're not happy with your work output.
In fact, this seems to be a corporate problem…
This is also supposed to get released on PS4 eventually - have we heard anything new about that?
You experience may vary, but this game totally gave me $40 of enjoyment when I bought it at launch. It's (weirdly) my favorite Xbox One game, actually.
Well, you can PRE-ORDER the Groot toy. Sadly still doesn't ship until "December 31st". :(
As mentioned by someone else - it takes 300 years afterwards, and there are reasons which tie into the general storyline (especially if you play as the Jedi Knight class) that explain it.
Interesting idea - if you dance, does that move your hitbox around? Might actually make you harder to headshot.
Likewise - that smash is pretty great.
What? That's first I'd heard of it. Neat.
Ha! Yeah, totally true. I'm pretty sure that won't go too well. :)
It was regarded as a disappointment within the PayDay community because all hints pointed towards it being a PayDay 2 expansion of some kind and it was promoted via the PayDay2 community sites. And then the news dropped that it was an entirely new game that was unrelated.
Basically just dashed expectations.
Agreed. I loved Attack Wing up until Wave 3 despite the awful paintjobs and lackluster models, but the balance in that game is just getting worse and worse and worse. At any given time, there's basically one squadron that destroys everything. :(
I would play the hell out of that game. A planned heist game, (possibly against human strongholds) with very limited ammo where failing stealth and going loud means the zombies show up? Hell yeah.
And then at the end, you steal enough food to level up. Woo!
I can agree with that - I only loosely followed the audio log, but it does bug me a little. I wish they'd done this AND a bigger tie-in for PayDay 2, like a new level or something. A new weapon (and a melee weapon at that) isn't remotely useful. :(
Well, after the frankly insane amount of money I spent on X-Wing, I'm pretty sure I'm in for this. Do we know yet when it'll be released?
A lot of the time - they do a great job with models for their games, and their rulesets are generally pretty fun. They do, however, have a metric ton of tokens in every game.
I bought this on Jason's recommendation back on the PSP. Amazing game, was completely blown away. I know you weren't paid for this article, but if you had: Bravo on taking their money. :)
Right - this actually sounds more like intended behavior that they might just need to tweak a bit. Chests do spawn in, and they're (I think) globally available to all players in your instance, some of whom drop in or out as you're exploring. Whether or not you already explored an area doesn't actually matter, chests…
You can change the gender of your characters however you like at the outset of the game. Later on, you can also 'reconfigure' your character with a fairly lore-friendly item and change everything but their name, I think.
Totally agree about ZombiU. That game was amazing, though it did have a couple of bad bugs. Still haven't finished it because some parts of it genuinely creeped me out.
