The state position for me requires a 15% withdrawal for the retirement program - coupled with the normal taxes on top of that, resulting in me losing about a third of my paycheck each month to taxes and retirement. Which I’m mostly fine with - I’ll be able to retire at 52. And I get over thirty days off per year,

I’m an administrator for a state agency.

absolutely abysmal economy.

I’d been doing my taxes since 13 when I could legally get a w2 job. of course my parents helped me then, but by the time I was 16 I was doing them without anyone even checking my work, because basic math was a thing then too. I also handled all my college paperwork and loan info. I also had my own post office box at

Have they never gotten a passport or anything before, at the very least? Never had to pick up a package?

Someone needs to tell these people that being a grownup means doing several dozen things a day that you aren’t necessarily thrilled about but need to be done.

To be fair, our educational system encourages this type of thinking, where there is one right answer and lots of wrong answers and the teacher will just tell you the right answer to memorize for the two thousandth test you are going to take that day.

What is so insulting is the stupidest, most corrupt, most blatantly evil people are in power and are working to make their positions of power unaccountable to justice and the rule of law.

Oh man, you’re going to hate work.

If there’s a hiccup in their quest for whatever, they basically throw up their hands and go “whelp I’m done.” Then turn to us to fix it for them. Like there’s no backup plan or anything.

I wonder if these kids understand that they are one of the most important part of the democratic coalition.  If they don’t vote there will be no hope and change.

And don’t forget a catchy hashtag, and maybe changing your FB picture.

I know in my heart that Pence is up to his nostrils in Russian bribes also

It’s comical when people get pissed over their make believe vs someone else’s make believe.

Funny that the people (like Mister Aligieri below) complaining the loudest about outrage culture are outraged at Splinter’s take.

Ok, I believe we’re done here then? Good.

Men are extremely toxic and dangerous. lets fix the issue at the beginning of their life.

I get it, you paid for a product or a service, but downtimes SHOULD BE expected with any online system.
