I thought Left 4 Dead 2 was better than the original in almost every way. Better balancing, more interesting environments, more variety and great dialogue. It was even funny in places.

That's pretty cool! It's a shame the official tie-in didn't try to capture that retro look and came across as a slightly bland, fish-out-of-water platformer.
I quite agree. The later focus on Sonic as an overtly speedy character suggests a fundamental misunderstanding of how the earlier games worked.
I haven't really been following this game that closely, but much like The Unfinished Swan, it looks like quite a sweet, atmospheric title. Assuming it's not utterly broken (and I highly doubt it is) I'll probably pick it up.
