Facts are facts. This particular neighborhood is full of Black and brown kids. This is Harlem and she is white- race cannot be excluded as a contributor to the narrative, and race is the social structure on which the neighborhood was built. Period. 

I grew up in a city neighborhood and remember the same ice cream truck. It drove around with the song blasting, which is fine, but having it sit in one place for over an hour would be a lot. I wonder if this guy owns his truck, or more likely, works for the owner and is telling the owner to fuck off, too, by sitting…

Have you ever stood next to an ice cream truck with the music going? Obviously this is subjective, but it’s my opinion that it’s incredibly loud and unpleasant to listen to for that long. And no, I’m not Mackenzie. I am a man, and I live in Oregon. Sorry.

My mom lives in a neighborhood that has a train track right across the street and has heard of people buying houses on the block and then complaining about the trains. (there are only 2 a day) You literally look out your front door and see the tracks, what did you think they were FFS? (my mom loves the trains btw.)

That’s happening in Colorado too, only it’s near constant freight trains that blow their horns. The reason these towns have train tracks in them is that they were built 100 years ago to be NEAR the trains! Also Feds require signals, so buy ear plugs.

Where I live, we’ve had city people who had moved to the country sue to silence hens (they lost); sue to silence church bells (partial win: only on the hour, not every quarter). Even sadder, we’ve recently had a super-rich idiot sue to suppress lake cruise boats’s horns - and won.
