had to restore it twice (my computer would get an error updating it, leaving it hanging in recovery mode), but it turned out to be a problem with my computer. when i finally got it to work itself out, it only took about 10 minutes.

ARGH. If I was getting a Kinect (my best friend plans on it, so I'll just bum off her or something in exchange for letting her play SNES/N64 or something), I would be so pissed. That purple plus the 360 case green are aesthetically displeasing together. Very displeasing.

@TheControlled: Kinetic + Connect. I think the Kin is more from Kinship, as it's a social phone. Anyways, XBOX wants Kinect to be more of a social, wii-type thing, right? Because then the connect makes sense, and the kinetic DEFINITELY ALWAYS DID
