this is the stationery set, by the by.

my god, he even has the holy grail of game and watches - the Super Mario Bros. G&W that players received for having very high scores in Grand Prix F-1 Race in the last 80s. they came in a case shaped like the famicom disk system's mascot, disk-kun. you can see the plastic, disk-kun shaped cases in the 2nd last

it's easy! check out kitsch-bent's webstore :D

yeah. this is a crap picture taken with my phone, but it's cool. also, i put glow in the dark buttons in it. awww yeah.

actually, my gbc is just transparent, not atomic purple. i think my parents got it from a friend who got it in the NYC greymarket, because i got it early, and everything was in japanese in the manuals.

i miss extreme green! mine has a chikorita on it now, though, and a green LED backlight.

Man, the EB I go to isn't nearly that bad. There is one a town over where a female employee always treats me like the delicate, video game-oblivious female, offering me far too much help and FOLLOWING ME AROUND THE STORE, but there's one that I'm even considering working for because it's the least obnoxious one. The

There's some really interesting stuff about coin-op arcade games being converted to games for the 2600 (VCS mostly in the emails), and controversies surrounding them, in the 1894 Vaxmails.

Well, to be fair, Harrison didn't write "Got My Mind Set On You".

NO TOUCHING

Really? Well, that's awesome.

Considering the guts of it are probably exactly the same (save a larger motherboard and whatnot), I assume it'll be region locked just as the 3DS' is.

It's not really "better", per se. It's just bigger. It's still got the same stuff inside (but a 4GB SD card is kinda nice), just... bigger. Unless you've got poor eyesight and huge hands, it really won't matter in the end. I think the normal 3DS looks nicer anyway.

Is it bad that I'm going to buy this, even though they didn't build in the 2nd stick? I just think, even if the graphics aren't any better, it'll be so cool on the bigger screen.

Yeah. I've been toying around with one to give to a friend as a media centre/gaming hub (she traded in all her old stuff when she was a kid, and wants to play it again now), and it's pretty good. Emulates a LOT of systems (including the Pokémon Mini, for some reason), and XBMC is pretty great as well. I've still got

Mod an original XBox?

Ugh, tell me about it. Even thrift stores here in the GTA seem to think some cruddy NHL game is worth 6 bucks + HST. No.

Nice. I'm using a front-loader, but I've got a top loader. I'm just waiting for my toaster to die to use it, but I don't think it will, haha. I do, however, use a SNES mini that I got at a thrift store instead of the original SNES I had as a kid, because my gaming shelf was running out of room, and if I wanted to

Does anyone else feel like Nintendo was just biding its time and plotting in the shadows, waiting to bring all of this out and blow our collective minds?

Why not?
