I remember coming across one of these mags that had someone from cycle 4 on it too.

I know! If you don't like your employer, hey! Just go down to that place on the corner where they are just handing out jobs that make a living wage! The recession and the 4-job-seekers-for-every-opening is just an excuse used by lazy people!

That was my first thought too.

I listen to audiobooks mostly. If it makes me laugh, I don't mind running so much.

Thank you. I don't have specific questions right now, but it's nice to hear from someone on the ground, so to speak, and I look forward to seeing an update from you.

I usually start at 20% and increase tip for good service, and I almost invariably throw at least a dollar on top of the 20%. The way I look at it is that adding a dollar or two to the tip barely increases my bill, but if a lot of us do it, it really adds up for the server.

I do the same. Usually I consider 20% to be the base tip, with extra added for good service, but if it's atrocious service.. . I still basically start with 20% but then I round down.

I've found that the attitude of the OPs father, namely that of granting someone the benefit of the doubt does nothing but help me. When I'm dealing with someone who is rude or pissed at me for a reason that makes no sense I have 2 choices: think of that person as an asshole, or think of that person as a nice person

I often get random craving for M&Ms, but I'm thanking/blaming you from now on :-)

These aren't the tweets to which I refer. I'm hardly an expert on the Mario Lopez tweet stream, but I the ones I heard made me sad, and were nothing like the ones you mention, which do seem like a sponsorship gig. I didn't mean the football field thing at all. But honestly, I'm way over my thinking-about-Mario-Lopez

Get's paid to mention that eating them made him sick and how terrible eating m&ms makes him feel and how much he feels like he has to work out because he ate M&Ms?

One time, on the Julie Klausner, How Was Your Week podcast, she was reading tweets from Mario Lopez where he ate some M&Ms and then went on pretty much a shame spiral about it, and ever since then, I've worried a bit about Mario Lopez and his relationship with his body/image.

Amen to that. I'm sorry if you haven't felt heard here, or anywhere. Keep using your voice.

When I was 20, I backpacked around Europe for 2 months by myself and I highly recommend the experience to anyone.

Honestly, I'm disgusted by most of the people involved in the Men's Rights movement, but as a feminist, a mother of boys, hell, as a PERSON, I do care about how the patriarchy affects men. I know a lot of other feminists think the same way. I think there is room under our anti-patriarchy tent for a lot of these

Word.

I also don't think you are trolling. These are legitimate beefs and I back you up.

Sure. People perceived as hot get somewhat more of a pass than those who are not. I just think you are overstating it.

It is okay to get creeped out by anything that creeps you out. You have instincts for a reason, so I think that's a decent general rule. But I also give you a big yes on your specific question.

Actually no. This part: "And at the end of the day, if a guy's looks aren't doing it for a girl, he's going to be treated like a lost foreign tourist looking for directions." Sure. This part: "If he's hot, she will forgive him whatever social disrespect he showed her." No.
