I don’t have a problem with it, but he is completely tone deaf to be bragging about how his daughter got in on her own merits.  I mean she may very well be qualified, but when you have $70 million backing your application, it is hard to claim that you “got in on your own.”

Could we please have some sort of article on the young men of the college scam: I feel like they’ve only targeted the women. I’d like to see the kid that had his picture imposed on another and a couple of the others that were knowingly involved. Kudos to the kid who apologized though.

Dr. Dre Didn’t Commit a Crime to Get His Daughter Into USC, Did Assault Multiple Women

On the other hand, you don’t have to sacrifice somebody you know for the tribute.

This is delightful! Its so lovely that you were able to connect the dots later too.

This I don’t understand. Like, if you’re invited somewhere and your kid isn’t, you decide either to leave the kid with someone else or to politely decline the invite. If you’re desperate to attend but can’t leave the kid (loads of valid reasons for this, also loads of bullshit ones) then by all means ask if an

My husband’s aunt and her husband RSVP’d “no” to our wedding, but then they showed up anyway. I was happy to have them because I like them, but it was a really small wedding in our backyard (only 45 people) with assigned seating, so I had nowhere to put them. So they sat on chairs off to the side. We had plenty of

The dollar and the Polaroid puc of themselves, you can tell just from this that this couple is insufferable

Yeah, I don’t even like going when I’m invited.

Two girls tried to crash my wedding. They did the old were from the side of the couple that you arent to my wifes uncle (sent to investigate by my sharp-eyed wife!), but unfortunately for them my wife and I are from SUPER different backgrounds and it was painfully obvious that they were not, in fact, members of my

Like Mr. Greenblatt, Ms. Wolfson and her date also left a card. Theirs contained a Polaroid photo of themselves and “a buck for good luck.”

Why would anyone choose to go to a wedding?

“Buck for luck”people should be sent a bill.

We had wedding crashers at our wedding who were actually fine because of their specific circumstances. The venue we got married in was big and strategically laid out so they could have two simultaneous events. A bridesmaid and a few of her friends weren’t feeling the dancing at their very religious wedding

I have a friend, who I dearly love that is getting married in the fall.  Multicultural and essentially two weddings back to back so both families are satisfied.  It’s something like ten hours long.  My head hurts thinking about it.

My husband’s psyco ex wanted his stepbrother to bring her as his plus one to our wedding instead of his fiancee for “closure. They’d been broken up for 10 yrs btw. I suggested that he bring her an hour or so early instead so I could help her with that closure and still have time to ice my knuckles.

Even worse are the unexpected plus-ones (THREE at our small wedding - not even “new boyfriends” which are imposition enough, but just buddies who thought a party sounded fun). They expected to be fed and sat when we didn’t know they were coming! A wedding invite isn’t a flyer for a fucking kegger!

(... i think it was a light mockery....)

I'd be way more interested in stories about what happened when the crashers got caught in their lie.

More than anything, it’s just... sad. As though everyone who does this thinks they're Owen Wilson, but are actually Will Ferrell.
