I strongly agree.
She might have— live speech is an often imprecise thing. But I got her drift.
If it was just a misuse of words, that's one thing. But if she genuinely thinks that part of feminism is forcing women to have kids, that would bother me.
The one thing Shark Week never taught me.
I've been in such meetings. It's def not on my resume.
"I feel like I'm pulling a fast one by combining the comfort of pajamas with the illusion that I'm still making an effort."
I love in the summer when I throw on a super comfy knit dress and sandals and someone says how cute/put-together I look. "Thanks, I got out of bed 4 minutes ago!"
Maxi dresses for the win. Any time I'm somewhere 'fancy' and wearing one, I'm secretly thinking "I'm wearing my jammies and no one realizes...".
I absolutely agree. Dresses all the way. I enjoy how often people will tell me I look nice today at work, and I'm just thinking "yeah, I just pulled this on like 5 minutes ago and will probably wear this as my nightgown tonight"
I just discovered that dresses are amazing. It only took me 27 years. I can be ready to go out the door in ONE piece of clothing?! Fuck yeah.
i have like, six floral skater dresses and i am like MUAHAHA NO ONE KNOWS I AM COMFY
I adore knit dresses, people act like you're all fancy when really you're super comfortable.
I have a gorgeous knit maxi dress from Banana Republic. It is basically made of the same soft fabric as a nice pair of yoga pants but loose and flowy. It looks fancy but it is comfy and keeps me cool and takes 5 seconds to pull on in the morning.
I have a knit dress so comfortable that sometimes if my regular PJs are bugging me I'll change into it for bed. If I travel in the summer I either have it in my carry on or wear it on the plane, just in case my luggage is lost. I have no shame.
Once someone looked between my boyfriend in a t shirt and cargo shorts and myself in a dress and scolded him for putting comfort over style because look at me!! Meanwhile I had pulled that dress off the floor that morning and was ready in under 5 seconds and SO COMFORTABLE OMG.
Yeah, I love my yoga pants for the air-conditioned house but nothing beats a dress in terms of comfort.
I was tricked too! Imagine my surprise when one day while visiting Seattle I saw that they had a ShaneCo too! I felt so lied to.
It floods the local airwaves with low production value ads starring the owner of Shane Co. who has the charisma of your uncle's very competent accountant.
The commercials are terrible but Shane Co is a fantastic jewelry store, so it evens out in my book.
