The concept of cancel culture has been debunked many times. Stop using troll words you think will trigger people. Elizabeth Warren lost the primary and faced a lot of public and professional backlash for her DNA test. Unless you’re a member of the Cherokee Nation, it’s time for you to let it go, bud.

Then you’ll be waiting a long time because Jezebel extensively and critically covered Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test, the backlash to the DNA test, the apology, and the backlash to the apology, so I can’t imagine they’re going to to dredge it up again in the year of our lord Satan 2020.

Crazy people are everywhere. If you are crazy in this way, it’s the kind of thing that only gets noticed if you are in academia and/or active on social media

It might just be the way he looks and the fact that he is from A LOT of money. Not just comfy wealth, museum with his family’s name on it wealth (Hammer Museum LA). Added fun fact Tony Goldwyn is also like that. He is the Goldwyn in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, MGM studios.

To be fair his great granddaddy was an oil tycoon. So I guess he could play gay for the accolades and vote republican if wanted to. There are plenty of republicans that don’t hate gays but they don’t care enough about them to vote democrat.

Thank you. What does this woman actually do besides wear sunglasses and go to fashion shows?

She must have some astounding dirt on people. I really don’t understand the longevity of a 70 year-old woman who has had the same haircut for decades in an industry that prioritizes youth and constant change above all else.

I honestly don’t understand why she’s so untouchable. She should have been fired long ago for this shit and so much more. Didn't we all learn the lesson from Matt Lauer's firing that the "essential" person isn't so essential to larger success?

Quibi had bled almost 90% of subscribers once the three-month trial ran out,

When you team up with Meg Whitman you get what you deserve.

At least this will give Meg more time for her new Cabinet position in the Biden Administration.

I had Doudna as a lecturer for Bio1A (general biology) and later MCB110 (molecular biology) a few years ago, and she was among the clearest professors I’ve had. I vaguely remember being unsatisfied with some some cellular interaction in lecture and asked her why/how it worked. She was pleased and actually drew out

That after the first two Nobel awards this year, in usually overwhelmingly historically male-dominated fields, the women lead the men, I see it as at least a small sign of hope that things are trending positively. This has made 2020 look a little less bleak to me.

TIL: it wasn't a Pogo ball. Ty for dropping that knowledge

Not to be a jerk but that headline is just wrong wrong wrong.  Unless she has ovarian cancer - then “malignant” cysts is wrong. Malignancy means cancer.. and we all know this.. And it changes the entire nature of the lawsuit if she did in fact, have cancer - and was denied..

What happened with his vision after he finally got the surgery? Did it improve his overall vision or bring him back to where he’d been before the cataracts? (Needless to say, the insurance company logic is bonkers but I’m curious nonetheless)

“It is elementary, my dear Inspector; Netflix will make the money, and the Doyle estate would very much like to take that money.”

I would assume she has housekeeping staff whose specific job is to do those chores, so not really forcing them. I doubt very many of the home owners in the undoubtedly very expensive and exclusive area she lives in do their own cleaning.

So, you’re totally wrong about what “inside job” means.

It’s reasonable to assume that Ellen has several members of staff who live on site.
