Bought a PS4 a couple months ago (one of the first for $350 with 1 game), and got a PS Vita last week (on sale for $150). I didn’t think streaming games inside my house would be a big deal, but its really sweet! Plus in the case of the Vita, you can stream PS3 games too.

These metrics kind of disingenuous (not the right word, I need my afternoon coffee), most tasks don’t require a lot of RAM by themselves - its multi-tasking that causes RAM to be consumed. A PS3 can stream Netflix at HD quality on 512MB of RAM, but it doens’t have to do anything else at the same time.

That’s probably because it just required an app update on iOS to connect to Chromecast (there has been an iOS HBO Now app for months) while Android required the full app to be developed.
