does the nub still move comfortably or is it as tough as the thinkpad nubs? how sensitive is it to pressure? if you try to flick it, will it actually recognize the slight pressure?

I'm still horribly bummed out that the changing faceplate only affects the regular 3ds...... but not the 3dsxl.... that would really be a big deal for me.. :(

You're probably right. But on the other hand, it was probably a decision made by the developers when they decided to localize. I also suspect that they're trying to market it to americans since it's their entry to the US market.
